Airova

Don’t replace the AC. Upgrade it.

An add-on panel for the indoor unit of a split AC. The AC’s own fan pushes room air through a PM2.5 filter and an adsorbent layer. No new appliance, no floor space.

For: Homes, clinics, classrooms, small offices and residential societies

Bought as: One add-on unit plus a media kit about twice a year; home-pilot slots open in 2026

What it does

A split AC cools the room and recirculates whatever is in it: cooking smoke, incense, traffic dust, PM2.5.

Airova fits over the intake of the indoor unit. Every time the AC runs, the air passes a PM2.5 filter and an adsorbent layer. You use the AC exactly as before.

Why it is different

  • Works with the AC already on the wall.
  • Treats gases and odours, which most room purifiers do not.
  • No floor space, no extra fan, negligible extra power.
  • Replacement kits about twice a year.

How it works

Four stages, one pass

  1. Mount on the AC

The add-on fits over the indoor unit’s intake.

  2. Particulate stage

Captures PM2.5 and fine dust on every pass.

  3. Adsorbent stage

Odours and gases bind to the Bhagirath adsorbent.

  4. Cool, clean air

The AC supplies filtered air as it cools the room.

Status & evidence

Status: home pilots, 2026

Prototypes are fitted in homes through 2026 to settle the fit on common AC models, the filter life and the measurement method. No controlled before/after figure has been published yet.

How it is bought

Priced per site after sizing. Every supply comes with an annual maintenance contract (AMC) option and a measurement plan, so you see inlet and outlet readings for your own installation.

  • Add-on unit, one-time
  • Filter and media kit, about twice a year
  • Optional annual service visit
  • Optional air-quality monitor

Questions we get

Does it work with my AC brand?

It is made for standard split indoor units. We are confirming fit on common models during the home pilots; send your model and we will tell you.

Does it reduce cooling?

The add-on is designed for low resistance so cooling and airflow are maintained.

How often do I change the kit?

About twice a year in a typical city home; more often in heavy-pollution months.
